Barrie Police Service Launches Online Reporting Tool with Rubicon

Updated: Nov 14

On November 4, 2024, Barrie Police Service transitioned from Lexis Nexis Coplogic to a new online reporting platform developed by Rubicon, a Canadian public safety technology company. This enhanced system allows residents to report non-emergency incidents like property theft, vandalism, and fraud directly from their devices, improving accessibility and operational efficiency. By streamlining non-emergency reporting, the new tool enables officers to focus on urgent cases, strengthening community engagement and building trust.

“...the new BPS Online Reporting provides the convenience of reporting non-emergency incidents directly via smartphone or computer,” the service noted in a recent statement. This collaboration with Rubicon brings the community closer through modern, accessible crime reporting.
