Thunder Bay Police Service Enhances Online Reporting with Rubicon.
Thunder Bay, Ontario – On Feb. 12, 2025, the Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) officially launched its enhanced online reporting system in partnership with Rubicon, replacing Coplogic to provide a faster, more user-friendly experience for both the community and officers.
As an OPTIC agency using Niche RMS and Axon DEMS, TBPS wanted a modern, integrated solution to improve efficiency in handling non-emergency reports. The new system allows residents to report incidents easily from their phones or computers, while officers benefit from quicker review times, reduced follow-ups, and more digital evidence upload space.
"With the previous system, we had heard from members of the public a lot of times that they would submit a report and then would never know what happened to it," said Matt Vis, media relations coordinator for TBPS.
With the upgraded system, an open line of communication is maintained throughout the processing of reports, sending updates to both the reporting party and the assigned officers.

Thunder Bay Police joins other Canadian agencies, including Barrie and Timmins, in modernizing their online reporting capabilities with Rubicon.
